Meredithe R. Kreis is a family law attorney and private mediator with Lawhon Law & Mediation, P.C.  In addition to acting as a neutral mediator, Meredithe consults individually with clients needing independent legal advice during their mediation or negotiation process and is also a Collaborative Practice attorney.

Prior to joining Lawhon Law & Mediation, Meredithe worked at Sideman & Bancroft, LLP and Hersh Family Law Practice, P.C., where she focused her family law practice on high-asset dissolution of marriage matters involving division of property, determination of spousal and child support, and resolution of child custody and visitation issues.  In addition to her prior work as a family law litigator, a significant part of Meredithe’s practice has always been focused on mediation and settlement for clients who desired to resolve their matters outside of court.

Meredithe Kreis is a volunteer attorney for the Bar Association of San Francisco’s Pro Bono Family Law Project.  She also serves as a volunteer for the San Francisco Superior Court’s Law and Motion Calendar and a Settlement Conference Master for the San Francisco Superior Court’s Unified Family Court.

Meredithe was admitted to the California Bar in 2008.  She received her law degree from the University of San Francisco in 2008 and her Bachelor’s degree in English Literature from the University of California, Berkeley in 2003.
